WATCH: Coming Together: Kejriwal, Banerjee Join Hands To Oppose Centre’s Services Ordinance

Arvind Kejriwal and Mamata Banerjee, two of the most prominent leaders of the opposition, have joined hands to oppose the central government’s services ordinance. The ordinance, which was passed by the cabinet on May 24, gives the central government the power to appoint and transfer officials in state governments.

Kejriwal and Banerjee met in Kolkata on May 25 to discuss the ordinance. They also met with Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann, who is also a member of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).

Kejriwal has called the ordinance an “attack on federalism” and an “attempt to weaken the states.” He has urged the opposition to unite and oppose the ordinance in the Rajya Sabha.
