Mohan Bhagwat and Baba Ramdev to visit Bihar amid tight security

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan Bhagwat will visit Bihar on Friday for the inauguration of Guru Niwas at Maharshi Mehi Ashram amid tight security arrangements. Yoga guru Baba Ramdev will also be present at the occasion.

A 12-member team from Nagpur reached Kuppaghat in the Bhagalpur district where the ashram is located. Top brass of district administration including SDO, DSP, and other personnel are reviewing the security arrangements at the ashram before the visit.

Event coordinator Pankaj Das said that Acharya Maharshi Harinandan Paramhans Ji would inaugurate Guru Niwas built on the premises of the ashram. Mohan Bhagwat will be the chief guest at the function, along with yoga guru Baba Ramdev and former IPS Kishore Kunal.

He informed that 32 cameras had been installed on the premises to monitor activity. The public will be allowed in the ashram after a thorough security check-up. Over 10 quintals of flowers have been sourced from Kolkata to decorate the ashram. 500 people have been invited to the event. The inauguration ceremony will take place at 11 AM and a short documentary will be screened based on the life of sadguru Maharaj.

Elaborate security arrangements were made in Naugachia and Bhagalpur before Mohan Bhagwat’s arrival. As per the schedule, Bhagwat will deboard the train at Naugachia and reach Bhagalpur via the Vikramshila bridge.

DIG Vivekananda said that tight security arrangements have been made and an ample number of security personnel have been deployed in the area to monitor the situation.

Maharshi Mehi Paramhans, also known as ‘Gurumaharaj’ was a saint in the tradition of Sant Mat. He was the guru of ‘Akhil Bhartiya Santmat Satsang’. He studied Vedas, Upanishads, the Bhagavad Gita, the Bible, different sutras of Buddhism, and the Quran. He asserted that ‘Satsang’ and ‘Dhyan’ are the easiest methods to achieve ‘Moksha’. Maharshi Mehi was a direct disciple of Baba Devi Sahab of Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh.
