New Delhi: In-flight charging is getting a major upgrade on Indian and international carriers. Emirates has introduced wireless charging on its Airbus A350, allowing passengers to power devices without the hassle of cables.

Meanwhile, Air India has upgraded its aircraft with high-powered USB-C ports capable of 60W fast charging. Journalist Chirag Barjatya noted, “Air India flights have a C port that too 60W. This is real development in my books,” sharing an image of the port in use.
These enhancements reflect airlines’ growing focus on passenger convenience, particularly for long-haul flights where device usage for work and entertainment is essential.
Travelers can now choose between wireless and high-speed wired charging, ensuring devices stay powered throughout their journey.
