The move is aimed at giving viewers greater choice, flexibility, and control over the kind of content they pay for — marking one of YouTube TV’s biggest shifts toward modular, à-la-carte streaming.
Sports Package to Lead the Rollout
Among the new offerings will be the YouTube TV Sports Plan, featuring:
-
Major broadcast partners
-
FS1
-
NBC Sports
-
All ESPN networks
The expansion reinforces YouTube’s aggressive push into live sports and premium broadcasts, especially after securing rights to NFL Sunday Ticket and other top-tier sporting events.
With streaming platforms increasingly moving toward customizable bundles, YouTube TV’s genre-based plans could set a new industry standard.
Viewers will be able to subscribe only to the categories they want — from sports to entertainment to news — reducing the cost burden of full-package subscriptions.
The rollout is expected to begin in early 2026.
