Enhanced road access to destinations like Khajuraho is expected to increase tourist inflow, while better transport routes for the coal sector in Katni will aid economic activities.

Minister Gadkari’s Remarks

Addressing the gathering, Nitin Gadkari emphasized the transformative power of robust infrastructure. Though a verbatim transcript of his speech at Jabalpur is not available, his general message resonated with a vision of modern, efficient road networks across India. In a similar event in Madhya Pradesh, he remarked:

“I want to assure the people of Madhya Pradesh that within the next two years, the national highway network in the state will be even better than that of the US. I do not make empty promises and whatever commitments I make, I fulfill them boldly.”

The projects are part of the central government’s ongoing efforts to expand and modernize India’s national highway network, aiming to boost regional development and provide seamless connectivity for both citizens and industries.
