New Delhi: India’s para table tennis star and ESIC officer Bhavina Patel has etched her name in history by rising to the World No. 1 ranking in Women’s Singles (Classes 1–5) after a remarkable twin-medal performance at the ITTF World Para events in Spokane, USA.
Gold at ITTF World Para Elite
From 9th to 13th August 2025, Patel delivered a stellar performance at the ITTF World Para Elite event, clinching the Gold Medal in the Women’s Singles Class 4–5 category. Competing against some of the world’s finest para table tennis players, she displayed outstanding skill, resilience, and tactical play to emerge as champion.

Silver at ITTF World Para Future
Just days earlier, between 6th and 8th August 2025, Patel had secured a Silver Medal in the same category at the ITTF World Para Future event, also held in Spokane. The back-to-back podium finishes underscored her consistency and competitive edge on the global stage.

These twin achievements have propelled Patel to the top of the ITTF World Rankings in the Women’s Singles Wheelchair (Classes 1–5) category — a landmark moment for Indian para-sports and a testament to her relentless pursuit of excellence.
