Summary

At the all-party meeting ahead of the Monsoon Session, AAP’s Sanjay Singh grilled the Centre over the Pahalgam ceasefire deal, Delhi demolitions, Bihar voter fraud, Ahmedabad plane crash, and UP school closures, warning of protests if Parliament fails to address these issues.

New Delhi: On the eve of Parliament’s Monsoon Session, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) delivered a sharp message to the BJP-led Central government during the all-party meeting on Sunday, demanding urgent answers on a series of sensitive national issues. Rajya Sabha MP and senior AAP leader Sanjay Singh outlined the party’s stance, warning that if the Centre fails to provide clarifications, AAP will escalate its protest both inside Parliament and on the streets.

Ceasefire Under Scrutiny: ‘Trade Deal in Disguise?’

One of AAP’s key demands is a formal government clarification on the ceasefire deal that followed the Pahalgam terror attack. Singh raised concerns over repeated statements by U.S. President Donald Trump, who claims the ceasefire was brokered under the guise of a trade agreement.

“Why is the U.S. President repeatedly saying that a ceasefire was brokered through a trade deal? The people of India deserve to know the truth, and the Government of India must respond in Parliament,” Singh said.

Evictions and Demolitions: ‘Jhuggi Promise Betrayed’

The AAP also slammed the Centre and Delhi authorities over recent demolitions in the national capital, particularly in areas inhabited by migrants from Purvanchal, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar.

“Thousands were rendered homeless in places like the Madrasi Camp, despite the government’s promise of ‘Jahan Jhuggi, Wahan Makaan’. This is a betrayal of the poor,” Singh said, demanding an immediate halt to all such evictions.

Electoral Integrity in Bihar: ‘SIR Process is a Scam’

Calling the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of Bihar’s electoral rolls a “massive fraud”, Singh alleged widespread submission of fake and deceased voter names.

“Lakhs of forms are being filled in the names of people who never appeared at the centres. Forms in the names of the dead are being submitted. This is nothing short of an electoral scam that undermines democracy,” he asserted.

Plane Crash & School Closures Also Raised

Singh also demanded answers regarding the recent Ahmedabad plane crash, where initial reports blame the pilot for switching off fuel supply. “The Government must clarify the facts behind this incident,” he said.

He further criticized the UP government’s policy of closing government schools, stating it disproportionately harms Dalit, backward, and minority children. “Education for the marginalised is being attacked under this government. This is unacceptable,” he said.

‘Voice of the People’ and Solo Path in Bihar

Concluding his remarks, Singh said that AAP is ready to be “the voice of the people” if the Centre fails to address these issues.

On questions regarding the INDIA alliance, Singh clarified: “The alliance was formed for the Lok Sabha elections. AAP has since contested alone in Delhi, Haryana, and bypolls—and we are now going solo in Bihar too.”

What’s Next?

With Parliament set to begin its Monsoon Session amid rising political tension, AAP has signaled its intention to play an aggressive role in pushing accountability. Whether the Centre responds with clarity or confrontation remains to be seen.
