The awards go to the Superintending Engineer cum Project Director, Bodh Gaya, acknowledging the successful collaboration between CPWD and the institute in delivering world-class infrastructure for higher education.

“These awards go beyond architecture—they represent our commitment to creating inspiring academic spaces,” says Professor Vinita S. Sahay, Director of IIM Bodh Gaya. “That CPWD recognises this vision at the national level is deeply meaningful, especially for Bihar.”

The Permanent Campus, inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on February 20, 2024, spans nearly 73 acres out of the 118.82 acres allotted by the Bihar Government. With a sanctioned budget of ₹411.72 crore, the campus combines sustainable architecture, energy-efficient systems, and a design that celebrates Bihar’s rich cultural heritage.

CPWD, the government’s premier construction agency, selects only five projects nationwide for this honour. IIM Bodh Gaya’s double win reflects its uncompromising focus on quality and innovation.
With this recognition, IIM Bodh Gaya reinforces its position as one of India’s fastest-growing public institutions, aligning world-class infrastructure with its mission to nurture academic excellence and inclusive growth.
