NEW DELHI: In a rare and emotional moment, Panchayat actor Chandan Roy opened up about a long-lost relationship that never survived the distance—both emotional and geographical.

In his candid interview with The New Indian’s Executive Editor Rohan Dua, Chandan recalled a chapter from his past that still lingers quietly in memory.

“Yes, I was in a relationship… just once,” Chandan admitted. “It was long-distance. I couldn’t give her the time she deserved. I prioritized my move to Mumbai, my career. And I lost her.”

There was a brief pause before he added, with humility:

“I just hope she’s doing well, wherever she is. I pray for her.”

Asked if he ever expects to meet her again, Chandan replied gently:

“Not at all. She’s a beautiful mother now. That makes me happy.”

In a world where stardom often comes wrapped in stories of success, Chandan’s openness was a reminder of the quiet sacrifices that artists make on their way up. He never framed his choice as regret—but as a cost.

“If you want something deeply, you must go after it… But you must also accept what you leave behind.”

The moment revealed a softer side to the actor who plays Fulera’s ever-dependable Vikas. For once, it wasn’t about development or scripts or satire. It was about love lost—and dignity preserved.
