NEW DELHI: Tata Motors has revealed the production-ready Tata Harrier EV. The launch in India is expected soon. The electric SUV was earlier showcased at the Bharat Mobility Expo 2025 in January.
At that time, it was a display model. Now, the company has tested it on a track. The tests showcased its features and performance.
The Tata Harrier EV looks similar to its petrol version. However, there are some changes specific to the electric model. It has a closed-off grille and a new bumper design with vertical slats.
It also comes with LED DRLs and headlights with welcome and goodbye animations. The alloy wheels have a fresh design to improve aerodynamics. At the back, the connected LED taillights and a redesigned bumper give it a modern look.
Inside, the cabin is similar to the petrol version but with advanced features. It has a 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster adds a high-tech feel.
The panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, and JBL 10-speaker sound system enhance comfort. The vehicle also supports vehicle-to-load and vehicle-to-charge functions.
Safety features include seven airbags, ABS with EBD, and a 360-degree camera. It also has front and rear parking sensors, an electronic parking brake, and electronic stability control.
A tire pressure monitoring system keeps an eye on the tires. The SUV also comes with ADAS features for added security.
It is built on Tata’s special “Acti.ev” platform. The company has confirmed that it will have all-wheel drive. It is expected to have a driving range of more than 500 km.
A new multi-link rear suspension will improve ride quality and handling. With these features, the Tata Harrier EV aims to be a strong competitor in the electric SUV market.
With the production-ready version now revealed, the launch is expected soon. Tata Motors continues to expand its electric vehicle lineup.
